Upgrading and getting confused!

I have a Gt Saddleback (ok start laughing). I plan to race this year. I want to replace my whole drivetrain, my bar, and my fork. The thing is the fork is threaded. If there is a good threaded fork out there, tell me about it. If not ill convert to threadless. The whole drivetrain thing is confusing me, a lot. I want to get shimano XT everything. I need some help!

You may get quicker replies to this sort of topic in the "bicycle mechanics" forum.

There are lots of knowledgeable people around here, just be patient and try to ask specific questions. 'fraid I can't be much help on the threaded fork thing, I've been out of the loop for several years. Have you searched the internet for threaded forks?
