Mavic x517 Rims question
Im planning on using these wheels for a light single speed trail bike, and some XC from what ive read on the internet sounds about what they were made for am i right? They're laced to Specialized S works hubs, 3-4 cross in the rear with radial in front 28 hole im a light guy 145lbs. Do think ill have good luck with em?

Should i get it relaced? I like the way radial looks i know its weaker i thought maybe i could get away with it because of my weight. Thanks

IMHO the 517 is one of the best rims Mavic made. I found mine one at a time to add to my Rockhopper. I'm seriously thinking of relacing them to disc hubs to keep those rims when I go to disc on that bike. At 145lbs I don't think you're going to have any problems.

You a fellow boise resident Fred? I bought them on friday during BBPs 50% sale paid 30 bucks for em so i figured no real loss, and after a cleaning the braking surface really isn't that bad they seem to be worn about half way give or take a bit.
