New crank set Q

Are these new 10 spd sets compatible with regular 9 spd cassettes/ chains ? Or are the chain rings on a 10spd to narrow ?

You should be fine with a 10 speed crank and 9 speed chain/cassette.

If you go to a 10 speed cassette then you'll definitely need to go 10 speed chain as well.
