OE quality wheels. Where?

Buddy's rear wheel is toast, we're lookin for a cheap replacement. All I can find are high-dollar replacement wheels that cost 3x what the bike cost...

What are the basics he's looking for in a wheel? Do you know any specs about the wheel that come on the bike? If not, what year/model is his bike?

We just need a 26" XC wheel, 7-spd hub. 32h I suppose is fine. Disc only (6 bolt) would be preferred, but not essential. I THINK 20mm axle, but... not real sure?

Have you checked jensonusa.com, excelsports.com, biketiresdirect.com and the like for the cheapest wheels they offer?

Here's one from jenson matching your description.

https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...25+Hub+Oe.aspx

Whole set for 110, reputable company. Or try craigslist depending on your location cl can be very helpful or not at all. In socal you can find all sorts of parts since a butt ton of people ride down here.
