Gee atherton (unless you read mbuk you may not have heard of him) seemed to really pull out the stops. Good job on everyone. Will be interesting to see who takes it.

It's a 10 hour drive, and no one would drive me there
Does anyone get killed in those events?

Like I said. 1 person last year tried it to prove something. Worst injury ever in the event.
there are more trick oriented events that bring out the ht's. But this one is for the boys that go huge..not big...

Do you remember the original (1st year) Wade Simmons double. It was pretty infamous. 15 ft to more or less flat LEDGE (this made it interesting as you had to pull up almost right after landing 15ft) with another 15 ft finish. (give or take)...superT the following year dropped the whole thing (dropping past the ledge)...pretty famous and at this point very very very well videoed drop.

I'm still trying to think of the one, have you got a photo of it you can post?
Oh and what happened to Grant Allen, he was there during practice but had a DNS? I only ask because he is a local around here.

Not sure. To be honest I am not a fan of redbull so I don't keep total track. I personally like Grant, bit of a freak with that weird "I will huck myself off anything look"...reminds me of a lot of locals I know from australia actually
...but no real details as to why he recieved a dns...I will try to find out though
and no I don't have a pic....have a vid (dvd) ... pretty sick drop even at like 35 ft is pretty wild. But I still prefer wades. Using it as a stepdown was more skillful than purely hucking it in my very no hucking opinion
...
Semi official results...go romaniuchukchukchuk...one of my current favs with amazing overall skill
..Not surprised about Gee...been reading about him for ages, time for him to step up and hit THIS market
...Kyle is like a kid waiting to hit his prime...by far the most versatile (WC placement, street, djing, freeridide) in the world today...props...I actually wanna see footage this year...it might be interesting for a change

True too that, Gee is a really good rider, what's happening with his brother Dan, doesn't he do any of that freeriding, just DH.
"I personally like Grant, bit of a freak with that weird "I will huck myself off anything look""
Yeah he looks weird and is actuall pretty short, but he is heaps nice, I was at a track and he was there and we talked a bit and he wasn't like, "Hey kid, blah blah blah, I'm so good, blah blah blah cya" He just talked and asked me heaps of questions and didn't mind not riding just to talk. He also didn't mind giving me tips.

they all are...wade, dangerous dan and richie are short men...robbie is downright midgetized...the only tall riders I know of are superT (maybe 6ft) and (I don't remember his name but like 6'5 and big...he is retired now I think...) otherwise most are pretty short...

They are talking alaska...
ALSo...imo...utah is done. How many more riders are we gonna watch do 'superts' drop...it needs variety. IMO if the shore was more user friendly and camera accessable, it would be ideal. Really seperate the men from the boys as it were
