New to MTB
Hey guys i'm new here and currently interested in mountain biking. I own a road bike and a BMX but i'm looking to expand my collection with a mountain bike. I'm more interested in trail riding and dirt jumping as i like to mess around and jump stuff. I need some opinions though - Would it be wiser to buy a used bike or buy a new one? Im not a master in cycling but i know enough to get by so I can build a bike. Im looking for more of a DJ frame so i can raise my seat for trails and lower it for jumps. Anyone know of any places to buy a used frame? I cant seem to find many anywhere. All help would be gladly appreciated.

I'm fairly new to MTBing too, but have done bike stuff my whole life. I can tell you that, in general with bikes, if you do a lot of reading up on parts, and take your time and wait for deals to come along, it's cheaper to build a bike. However, that does take time. I think if you're looking to be on a bike pretty soon, you're best off buying a good condition used bike. Probably CL or something is your best bet.
