I ride a '04 p.1 and iwas wondering if it would bw better to get a marzocchi z.1 freeride sl, 2004 psylo race, or a marzocchi drop off 2. i do freeride some dirt jumping, and urban, also the occational trip to the local DH course.

I was going to say the dropoff until you mentioned dh. No question, the z1. Superior strength, damping performance.

Why the SL though?

our dh course isnt rough, its fast and steep, my old crap mz comp was right at its limit when i rode there, travel wise. the sl is alot mor ajustable, than the other forks around it, plus its got 130 travel ajustable, and its the lightest.

Oh it uses air. I would still say that one over the others.

it sux because i live in a crappy town with almost no places to bike. but on the flip side i get my licence once my leg heals, so i can drive to the good spots, and in that case i would put some good money into a fork.

Thats a great shot. When the hip was still semi solid...it turned to crap by the end.

Jeez... we have mountains around here, but nothing like THAT... Most of the areas in the Great Smoky Mtns national park are off-limits to cyclists. There are a few areas setup for cycling, but none are all that good in the immediate area. Most you have to go deeper into the mountains or over into NC to do so.
