Managed to bust my old fork. Need a new one

It's a pretty simple question really. I've done the research and am seriously leaning towards a new Manitou Minute Expert 100mm. I ride moderate XC and I am 200 lbs. For that reason, I'm thinking the R7 is out.

If you have personal bad experience with the Minute from the past couple years, please let me know. If you have a recommendation for a better fork and can back it up, please do so.

I've looked critically at the RS Recon as well. Is that the better fork for me?
