Replacing fork... how hard?
Ok really simple question... how hard is it to replace/install a fork.
Can you point me to a guide on how to or somehthing like that. Will I need any special tools?

YEa it isnt that bad, as for tools you need the allen key to loosen all the stem bolts etc.
It isnt overly difficult. If your doing threadless and replacing a fork, after you install the headset to the steer tube and whatnot you may find you need to cut the steer tube.

The hardest part is measuring the steerer tube and NOT cutting off too much.
Once you get the race removed off the old fork and put back on the new one, assemble the whole thing, then play around adding some spacers and finding the preferred stem height. Then and only then should you make a mark as to where to cut the steerer tube.
Measure Twice, Cut Once!

Well a dowel from your craftstore works wonders for putting in the star fangled nut. Get one that has a diameter slightly less than your steer tube. If you have a hard time judging how deep to put it in look at other forks.
