bar ends sizing

I'm looking to get bar ends for a mountain bike, I know that the handlebars come in different diameters
namely 25.4mm, and 31.8mm. But the bar ends come without specs, how do you know which handlebar they fit? I was looking at ritchey wcs and titec hellbent.

thanks for the help.

Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.

Bar ends are not like aero bars. Any bar end will fit any mtb handlebar.

thanks, i suspected that, just wanted a confirmation, wondering why manufacturers who can't agree on clamp diameter, can agree on bar end diameter .
