polaris rmk

i have a polaris rmk and I want to upgrade forks and rear shock. The rear shock is a pengbo 750lb coil shock. eye to eye is 6" but the stroke seems to be 2". The only size i can find is 6 x 1.25. I want one i can adjust and lockout. just wondering if that would be ok. thanks

You can't do it for less than about $175-200. With a barely $200 bike, you HAVE to ask if it's WORTH it first.

Maybe e-Bay can cut my estimate a little -- I wouldn't count on it.

but wouldn't it make it just a better bike. i don't plan on jumping or making long drops it would be nice to be able to lock the rear shock. for a full suspension bike with that kind of shock it will start around $800 it will cost abot $350 for better forks and rear shock or should i get mongoose tryax sport hardtail for $350. i like having the rear shock but what came with it bouces way to much on bumpy terrain. thanks again

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

It bounces because it is not a true shock; there is no damping in it. It's a shock-looking body with a spring. Best off looking for a different bike. Yes, you could outfit it with a real shock, maybe at a bargain off eBay, and a fork that actually works; but it will still be a substandard full-suspension bike. Trust me, I have done it and I had a lot of fun - - but I was very lucky and got a couple of steals - - and it was still just a better-behaving POS bike.
