Riders beware!
Talking to a couple of XC guys on the trail yesterday. They were fined $400. EACH for riding unauthorized trails in Sloan Canyon, NV. We've been riding that area for years. Just lucky I got a late start. The BLM issued the tickets.
I don't know if its a reaction to trail building on Government land or just revenue enhancement for the BLM. Seems like a severe spanking for kicking up a little dust in the desert. Beware out there, it could be coming to a trail system near you.

The BLM has no interest in protecting public land, which is basically their job. They are notoriously corrupt. Just saying. Seriously google "corruption" and "BLM". Someone is paying their bribes must have complained that they might get caught dumping toxic waste if bicyclists are allowed to ride anywhere they want.
