Saddle color advice.
Color advice needed. I purchased a black/orange Iodine 3 saddle for my bike. Trying to keep with my orange theme here.

But the store (The Clymb) sent me the wrong color. I received a white/black one. Does the color combo work? It matches the fork, I guess, but does it look out of place?
Here's a picture. Not sure if I'll return it.

Here are some more pictures of my bike. It's a 2012 Felt Nine Race with XTR shifters, XT derailleurs and Raceface Crank.

It's well that you know my primary concern when buying a new saddle is colour. I could ride a hatchet so long as it looked good on my bike. The saddle does seem to match the colour of your forks and we all know THAT to be critically important. My most serious concern would be whether the saddle will show the dirt and grime.
Thank God that this isn't another one of those my bum hurts - what saddle should I buy threads. Al

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.
Now that you've used it, I suppose it's moot point; however, you should have sent it back and gotten the pink one.

By the way just so some of you know, the matchy matchy thing is very much a So Cal phenomenon. I see bikes out on the trail that have every bit of colored bling possible starting with the headset, bottom brackets, hubs, cables, cable crimps, wheels, tires, seat post clamps, handlebars, you name it. The more bling the cooler you are... makes up for lack of bike handling skills I guess. Of course I can't say much as I generally match up headset, seatpost clamp, skewers, hubs and cable ends...
and oh yeah my saddle has blue threads to match my blue bike...

It's not a roadie so who cares? I'm having more trouble finding the right type of saddle for me than worrying about looks. Heck my winter beater(Black/white) has an orange saddle! That came with the used road bike i bought.
As long as it matches something on the bike or it's black?
^^^ I thought it was a fixie phenomenon, gold chain rings, pink hubs, green chains

I like having my equipment look good too, but also in the back of my mind for a mountain bike is the reality that the saddle is only going to make it through a handful of get-offs before i need a new one anyway ---
-- so given my parameters, i'll stick with basic black --- but the white looks good on your bike , go back and get the black/orange one too -- you'll need it soon enough if you are pushing it a bit

This is the right answer. Being Canadian, I have nothing against colour-matching, though I also respect American's right to color-matching. (That's the second amendment everyone keeps bickering over, right?) What is looked over when trying to put together a theme for a bike is whether or not the accents match. The white saddle will turn grey at the same rate as the rest of the white components.

Exchanged the saddle today.

The flash makes it appear brighter than it is. It all matches nicely.

Also rode some sweet singletrack in the morning.
And yep, it might be a SoCal thing. =)

I don't know why some people get their panties in a bunch if someone wants to match parts on their mountain bike. If the seat he finds comfortable comes in a color that will look cool and match his bike, why not? Same with any other parts on anyone else's bike.
I actually think the white one looked better because it tied the white fork in with the rest of the bike, but the white one wouldn't have stayed white for long anyway so it hardly matters. Orange one looks sweet too, and will continue to look good.

^^ Not necessarily...I have a Sunline saddle that's been through probably 4 seasons of DH and still looks nearly new.

True that; and when I do go to the races, I just stand around all kitted up and try not to get dirty.
