fenders

i know a lot of people out there think fenders are, for the most part, a goofy addition to a MTB. but i like them, i think they look cool and want to get one. but not just any one.
the fender i like is a THE XC ultra-lite, or a Dou-sport, in gray/silver(it looks more gray). i'm not sure which one it is,but i can't seem to find the gray color anywhere. the one i want is the one that comes stock/standard equipment on a Specialized (forgot the model name) bike that has full suspension. that's the only place i 've seen it. my local bike shop doesn't have gray in the catalog!?every other color is available.
so...i was wondering if anyone out there bought this particular bike, took the fenders off and they're just sitting around collecting dust...well, would you maybe want to sell it/them to me?
or if any body knows where i can find one, please let me know.
thank you everybody.
in case any body wants to knopw, it's for Giant Rainier. thanks.

for all us people not in the usa that dont have a clue what a fender is, could you enlighten us? i was under the impression that it was the equivalent to a bumper on a car but your evidently aren't going to be putting bumbers on your bike, are you...?

EDIT: ok i just followed kleins link and it appears that fenders is just another fancy american word for, wait for it..... "MUD GUARDS", see whats wrong with actually calling them what they are for a change, huh. i mean come on faucet.... HAH

Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........well I looked up the definition of fender and I came up with "A guard over each wheel of a motor vehicle, for example, that is shaped and positioned so as to block the splashing of water or mud." There...I enlightened you.

so...now that we all know what a fender/mud guard/device to keep dirt, mud and water from splashing up...is,
can any body out there help me? i've called literally dozens of LBSs in my area(and los angeles,CA is NOT a small area) to no avail. they try to tell me the "carbon" color is grey, but it isn't. if it even looked like real carbon fiber(or fibre, you know who you are )i would get it.
also i think loo sounds funny...

the THE carbon fender does not look the same as the Azonic. the color (colour?) is lighter and looks really cheesey(to me).
also i want the XC/duo-sport fender, which is not as wide as the DH fenders, and don't have that flare in the front.

Are these the ones you're after? https://www.specialized.com/SBCEqProd...1qrxii8.j17003 just buy them from Specialized if they are!

If not, sorry can't help.

a2cyklnut,
the fender i want that is on the Specialized is a T.H.E. brand.
my LBS said he'd try to get one from Specialized directly. warranty replacement or something.
thanks for trying though.

I know you want grey, but if you want a closeout deal on any other color, check out pricepoint, they've got em in bargain basement click here: https://pricepoint.com/product273.html

Didn't see grey listed in available colors, are you sure the one on the Specialized is a T.H.E.? If it is, it may be an O.E.M. only product and will be difficult to find.

I was thinking the clear would be kinda cool looking!
