1. You are brutally strong and normal stuff can't take the pressure.

2. A Roadie secretly sabotaged your bike, could have been aliens or gremlins.

3. The Bike Shop didn't quite get the assembly tightened down. Take it back to the shop and they should fix it up.

I was going to ride but then this happened on the way home from work I do a lot of hops and stuff off curbs and speed bumps could that of done it

There is no way a new bike should loose a crank arm. The hops and jumps made it happen faster, but a set screw had to be loose to start with. Just be glad you weren't cruising 5 miles off the pavement or landing a big jump. This is a good day to find the loose arm.

It might not be broken. Bring it back to where you bought it and get them to reinstall it, with gusto. If the taper has been mangled, the store that assembled it should give you a new one.
