7000 series aluminum is generally stronger than aluminum in the 6000 series, however when it comes to aluminums strength, heat treating is everything. A properly heat treated frame made of 6000 series can be stronger than a poorly heat treated 7000 series frame. But to compare apples to apples, the 7000 series would generally be stiffer.
