70, Sunny, Stuck!

While I enjoy my job (most of the time), it's days like today that make me long for the good old days of unemployment/school/waiter jobs. It's about 70 degrees outside, sunny and perfect riding weather! To make matters worse, there's also a nice little swell hitting down here giving us 5-7 foot waves. So, instead of getting to either surf, ride or do pretty much anything outdoors, I'm stuck here, waiting for my boss to finish doing whatever the heck it is he's doing so I can...yay...write a proposal for a new client.

I figured I wasn't the only one suffering like this so I thought I'd share and see if any of you would like to lament along with me.

Nope I have been trail riding for 2 days now. Today I am taking a break. My first weekend of outdoor riding, man did I miss it.

I hate you(actually I've probably ridden a lot more this winter than you have so I'm just a little jealous). Had the flu last week. Um, yeah, that sucked! Was going riding this morning, finally(last rain-free day of the week here), but I had to take my wife to a medical appointment. Argh!

I'm looking into starting my own company here very shortly and you know what one of the primary motivators behind this move is? Flexible hours so I can ride/surf in the afternoon and get other things that need to be done finished at night, when it's dark and cold!

Now I have to go to a client meeting at lunch instead of just getting to escape this place for an hour or so! Arrrrrrrrrrrgggggh!

It's about 65 here, not a cloud in the sky with just a hint of haze over the bay. Perfect weather for a lunchtime ride.

No showers here so that pretty much eliminates the lunchtime riding. Besides, helmet head + stench of sweat does not equal positive business meetings.

Showers at work mean I can commute on the bike and then go for a lunchtime ride. Helmet head is solved by the simple matter of not having enough hair for anyone to notice

Man I wish I had a long enough lunch to bother, but really I have enough time to throw on the helmet and walk out the door and then I have to come back haha
