First time buyer of MTB shoes and pedals
Purchasing MTB shoes and pedals for the first time, I own 2 road bikes and am tired of dealing with the impracticality of road shoes. Any advice for comfortable, light MTB shoes? Also, should I go with Shimano SPD or are there better options? If anyone knows of websites that are having sales that information is greatly appreciated

I use Shimano and Shimano shoes. I like the SPD shoes. I see a LOT of eggbeaters out on the trails, I mean a lot. I've never seen LOOK pedals and don't expect to so leave the LOOK pedals on the roadie.
