crankworkx question???

if my group and i head up to whistler during the festival how much of the mtn will be off limits because of it? does the constest take part on a specific part of the mtn? ( i've never been there during the summer i don't know how the trails run)where the lift lines really long this past year? i planning on booking in the next two weeks so we prob wont have a problem finding accomodations.

Depends on the event. For the most part most trails are open. During the dh section a trail or two will be closed. During the a-line race, obviously a-line is closed. During the jib session (the one all the pics show) I think they close lower a-line, glc drop and a few others that flow out into the crankworx festival. There are like 40 trails and I think 10 get shut down at any time.

Remember it is only 3 days

gotcha. i wasn't sure the format of the contest(s) i guess if we're limited to some trails 3 out of the 10 days we plan to stay it won't be that bad. i'm trying to accomidate most of my riding crew and that week seems to be the best.

I think it is like Friday pre-event, Saturday is the racing formats and Sunday is the freeride comp.

Althoguh this year it lists as 5 days so formats may have changed. But really most of the event is all the industry tents all over the place. Thats my favorite part
