Generally they do. Relative pricing, weight and strength. Any xc weight weenie type will pick rockshox, dh racers will pick rockshox, anyone who thinks like the guys at hcor will pick manitou. Pretty consistent on every site I have visited.

I have tried a fork from every major brand (min) and prefer marzocchi. But I did love the boxxer, my slider rocks etc..

I have a Yeti accutrax fork off of a late 80's or very early 90's Yeti FRO, at least I think I still have it around here somewhere....

Id love to try out an avalanche fork, they look beautiful and if they are as good as their rear shocks, it should be buttah.

I dont mind the Rock Shox Pike. 95mm - 140mm adjustable...wouldn't want much for, if that for my riding. Athough I'm not too sure about the quality of it though. About $650AU, and good a good review on MTBr!

RST Nsync is a Sweet Fork. I have one on each of my Trek 4300's. OK, so maybe they aren't so sweet but they are mine. And they do keep my headtube from hitting the ground.

I would really want one of these! Fox Racing Shox Vanilla R 130. 100-130mm of travel. Perfect for the offroad courses around my area.

My vote has to go to White Bros. I've had three of them so far and have been very happy with them all. Relatively light weight and perform great.

They're actually a decent fork, but the reason alot of bike companies are choosing them this year is because they're cheaper. That's a fact, Jack....

I know the Owner of a LBS in my area....
