Bikes: Kona Kikapu/hoss deluxe mix, 1950's Malvern Star gent 28" turned into a stealth commuter with drums and a three speed.

This was the fork before the current one for me. They will keep your frame from dragging on the ground but not much else. They have NO damping at all, they will flex like crazy, they will bottom out going over kerbs, the preload caps will "pop" out if you wind the preload up in futile attempt to stop them bottoming. They have no merits whatsoever other than mine never quite managed to kill me. Mind you despite 5000K's of commute and trail they never actually stopped 'working' altogether. Replace them ASAP. Others here can advise on replacements, or just have a look at some recent threads.
