Right here goes, I'm actually going to try and defend Zoom (a little).
I have Zoom inverted single crown forks on my DJ bike, I think their ok. The stantions are thick, meaning I can land badly (and I have) and they haven't even tried to buckle let alone deflect from the path of travel. I have them set up perfectly so that they do not bob under peddling yet are responsive when I need them. The only down side is that they are a little heavy and to be fair they probably won't last. But I see no need to rush out and replace them. But all this said, I won't touch one of the double crown types. |
2.4 kilo divided by 100mm equals one heavy p.o.s. the money you save will be repaid ten times over in medical bills when it folds underneath you.
