You could get a decent used rigid fork for 50.

Right here goes, I'm actually going to try and defend Zoom (a little).

I have Zoom inverted single crown forks on my DJ bike, I think their ok. The stantions are thick, meaning I can land badly (and I have) and they haven't even tried to buckle let alone deflect from the path of travel. I have them set up perfectly so that they do not bob under peddling yet are responsive when I need them.

The only down side is that they are a little heavy and to be fair they probably won't last. But I see no need to rush out and replace them.

But all this said, I won't touch one of the double crown types.

2.4 kilo divided by 100mm equals one heavy p.o.s. the money you save will be repaid ten times over in medical bills when it folds underneath you.

Hey, if youv'e had a positive experience with the product we need to hear that too :) I have a RST T5 Gila I think is junk (marzocchi coming soon :) ) but no-one can tell me its not strong enough for what I do. Mind you its also an uncontrollable pogo stick. :D
