Up and Back

Hey folks, I'll be flying out to Colorado this summer on July 5th for this nice sounding 7 day tour. Starting each day from Frisco. It's a start up tour so there isn't going to be many people. It would be nice to have many, but hey it is what it is. Anyway, I don't know where I was going with this, but If anyone wants to do it check it out at https://www.blacktopbicycletours.com/wst_page2.html yeah, also I was looking int some new cranksets and was considering the 34/50 Ultegra. Do any of you folks use that setup on the mountains? I've heard it's good, but is it also good on the flats?

Sounds like a great plan for a tour. Actually it sounds like my weekends during the summer but I'm starting from the SE corner of the lake between Dillon and Keystone. Many moons ago I used to book a room at the snoeshoe and ride my MTB from there, fond memories. You won't run out of road thats for sure. On the gearing, I just grind away with my 39/26. Have a ball!

well just got my plane ticket for Colorado, got my bike back today from my LBS, new R700 crank, Ultegra 12/27 cassette, Ultegra front derailer, Mavic Kyserium SL3, I think I'm ready to roll! Not sure about the Snoeshoe, I may try La Quinta, any other suggestions? I would like something with at least a microwave.
