I'm doing that as well. It'll be my first century - I'm training for Ride the Rockies and plan on being in century shape by Elephant Rock. Have you done it before? If so how hard is it? The online profile looks a little misleading (exagerated elevation vs milage) - could be wishful thinking on my part though.

I had planned to do the off road ride on our tandem, but lost my stoker. (Daughter getting married and no longer has time for dad.) At the moment I'm torn between doing the offroad on a single or the 50 on my road bike...

Have you registered? I was pondering this one and the century as well. It would be nice to have someone to ride with.

Say hello when you pass me. I'll be the one with the U of Maryland jersey riding the Novara Divano. Yeah I ride like a Terrapin - slow and steady.

I'm probably riding the 65 miler with a friend. I'll be on my touring bike which is a silver trek mtn bike with trekking bars:
Look for the Colorado flag sticker on the rear fender and say 'hi' if you pass me. - Alan

Pwnt and I are carpooling together. Look for a bald dude with a black helmet on a red and white tarmac. Though with the amount of riders there I think that may be a tad difficult. At least Snowy knows what I look like. Oh the horror!

Yes, the century. All that travel for anything else would be silly.

Don't everyone forget about the Pikes Peak Classic. A little further south but still a good ride for a good cause.

I liked it. However, I really have nothing to compare it to since it was my first organized ride and century.
Still, I finished strong and had a blast.

I did the 50. Just didn't have the legs to tackle Roller Coaster Rd. Still, got out and back in 3:34 ride time and before the wind kicked up. I was home by noon, which makes it all good for me...

I did the 65-mile route. It was my 3rd time doing the 65 (I did the century once, too, back in 2004). I hadn't done E-Rock in a few years, so it was good to be out on the course again. And man, we could not have asked for better weather - it was PERFECT! It seems like every other time I've done it we've been plagued by monster winds, rain or scorching heat, but today was a dream. As soon as I got home, it then started pouring rain, so timing was good....
