Spring Break Destination Suggestions Please - CO or UT
Last spring break I went to Colorado National Monument and did some riding, hiking and camping. It was pretty quiet in late March and the weather was decent. Looking for something similar but different.
I was thinking of going to Dinosaur but not sure what's up there with respect to good road riding. The park's website wasn't overly helpful. Basically want something with good roads and little traffic and a bit out of the way.
Anyone ridden around Dinosaur? Is there anything else I might want to consider? Trying to find something within about 6 - 8 hours from Fort Collins but someplace with nice spring weather (i.e. not the mountains).
Thanks.

Q: How do you know it's springtime in Moab?
A: All the license plates turn green.
If you go to Moab, be aware that
1) it's jeep week
2) everyone else on spring break in CO is there too
But Moab has the best chance of good weather. Lots of good riding, road and mountain. La Sal Mountain Loop, Arches, Canyonlands

My spring break is the last week of March so maybe not everyone else will be there but I see your point. Which week is jeep week? Or is it every week.
Sante Fe sounds interesting too. I've only driven through so not really sure where to ride. Maybe there is a local club with info. I'll check around. thanks for the tips.
I take it Dinosaur isn't much of a cycling mecca.

Google is your friend

jeep week is 3/23-31
The big issue is that all the lodging - both camping and hotels - around town are booked far in advance, and the restaurants are packed.
If you can afford airfare or want to drive a long way, Tuscon is great this time of year, or you could check out Albequerque, I heard it's ok but haven't ridden there. Santa Fe is a cool town but the riding is not totally awesome except if you go up towards Taos, which is higher altitude, so it's not guaranteed good weather.
