I would like to donate except I'd have to do it by snail mail and I don't trust those people.

Those are interesting charities. If anyone needs any additional ideas, here's my current yearly rotation...just small $ spread around

MS Bike Tour

https://www.livestrong.org

and of course, all the BF Tour de Cures I can get around to...

Heh, oops. I know someone who works for them too, but I mean if someone came and threatened you for Fuzzbox's letter, the chances are you wouldn't give your life for it and if you did they'd still get the letter.

I don't see nearly enough Igors. Surely we have more members that have given back in one way or another lately, don't we?

I've been working on slowly spreading the word...Are there no moderators who would qualify? I know the Admin group can't have one, but there must be a mod or two?

Perhaps putting a sticky in the Charities subforum alerting members would be helpful?

When I get paid either next week or the week after, I'll finally get myself a red star and an Igor

The red star is easy enough to do through the user control panel, but remember that Brian needs an e-mail with a cut and paste copy of the receipt for the charity (unless you are in a ride?)...

You will enjoy not seeing ads .

I'm mostly taking peoples word for it. You'd have to be pretty bold to lie about donating to a charity.

Well I have donated to a couple of charities this year, but I believe that the Mods can't display the Igor correct? Possible to get the graphic to put in my sig?

I noticed that both Tom Stormcrowe and jsharr are in a different user group--Sheldon Brown Memorial, if I remember correctly (if you look at forum leaders), so apparently the graphic doesn't show up unfortunately .

Seems like it could be done. There is actually a moderator usergroup with the Igor - do you want to be the one to test it for permissions and access? (I didn't set it up)
