TD Five Boro Bike Tour | Bike New York - Sell Spot for 2016??
Hello, I have registered for two spots in this year's Five Boro Bike Tour - and we will most likely be out of town now. Could anyone offer information on how to sell the packets? I've heard numerous people sell their spots. Not looking to make any money and will be selling at face-value.

Just sell them to someone on BikeForums, get payment via Paypal and designate the buyer as a proxy for the packet pickup. You'll have to send the buyer the barcode that will be emailed to you next month as well as a copy of your photo ID that they have to show at the pickup point. They can pickup the packet themselves. Alternatively, if you'll be in town that Friday, you can pick up the packet yourself and give it to the buyer.

If the registrations above are already sold, just keep an eye out on newyork.craigslist.org as the date nears. There's almost always someone local who'll need to sell for whatever reason. Use proper precautions (give them a small deposit if necessary instead of paying for the whole thing in advance, meet in a public place for the exchange of money for rider packet, etc.) and have fun.
