NYC SI Preferred, Road bike routes.
Hello everybody!
I'm newbie here, newbie in NYC and US too. I just started learning English and I hope I could tell what I want.
I just moved to Staten Island from Ukraine. I took my road bike with me and looking for good routs for trainings and exercising.
I'll be appreciated you if you advice me something with less signals and good distance, 30-40 miles will be good. I live in Rosebank area, SI. Maybe you know some resources, or special events.
PS: Staten Island is preferred, but not only. I'm able to drive around for that ))).
With regards
Serge.

There are a few road biking groups in Staten Island that you can find online. They do 30-50 mile rides every week and would be the best way to learn the good roads.
The first part of the new Goethals Bridge should be open later this year, which will FINALLY have a sidewalk you can use. The Bayonne Bridge sidewalk is unfortunately closed right now but I've heard they might have a shuttle on some days.

The Goethals bridge is going to open the sidewalk this year!! That's great news but only when I see it. You are right in Elizabeth New Jersey after crossing the bridge. Do you know it takes over 3 hours to get to Elizabeth NJ by train starting from Staten Island if you don't have a car.

There is a bike path that runs from Cedar Grove Beach to the Verrazano Bridge, about 8 miles there and back, along Midland and South Beach, here in Staten Island
