Tires for the C&O towpath

Would the Schwalbe marathon plus 700 x 35 be a good choice? Anything better? I got a credit for REI and they have this tire.

thanks

I rode it last year with a similiar 35cc tire. 35 wide tires make for a comfortable tire/ride. Make sure you take a flat kit/spare....some places on trail are pretty isolated.
