So after the Montauk ride on Sunday my knee is really killing me - I don't think I should really ride this week until I get it checked out :( :(

How about next Wednesday the 28th?

Feel better dude. Knee pain usually have something to do with the saddle height. Have it checked.

Strange thing is that it's only the right side. Could be saddle height but what's weird is that it hurt more from spinning than from mashing (so when I mashed it felt fine). Walking around today what I think (and also discussions from the roadies I was with) my foot is sliding off the pedal so I'm torquing my knee. They have knee savers I'm going to try out which basically put the pedal out another half inch or so. Also just noticed the knee I'm having a problem also has the much more worn bottom. Post a pic in a few.

Well, if you're going to Carroll Gardens, might as well stretch the legs, go out to Sheepshead Bay, get some RnR, come back to Bklyn Hts. and get some ice cream at Fulton Ferry Landing. Carroll Gardens is close by and the Manhattanites can jump on either bridge to go home.

So when you say "fun, not speed," what are we talking? 15 mph?

that depends.. there's a few hammer heads.. but we always wait for the others to catch up.. its a very smooth going ride...

We cruise around 12-14 mph but will take frequent breaks and enjoy the scenery. At certain times (within a mile of a destination) we may open it up but it's all for fun, nothing serious at all.

Sounds fun. I'm in (as childcare logistics allow). Just keep watching this thread for specifics, or is there an email list of some kind?
