any ice left on W&OD?
Contemplating first commute of 2007 to work tomorrow morning (Old Town to Tyson's) and am too wimpy to contemplate ice.
It looks like it'll be ok, but -- any of you been on there today? Is it clear / wet / dry / etc?
Thanks!

There were reports on the PPTC list that Arlington has plowed the W&OD and MAYBE the Custis trails and they are rideable to Falls Church. Haven't seen anything this evening.
I was in Vienna today and the trail looked rideable near the Maple St road crossing. I saw substantial ice and slush on the shaded area just west of Hunter Mill Rd; shaded sections in the Falls Church area might be sketchy. Good luck!

in case others are interested...rode it in.
Mt Vernon was fine from Alex to the airport, then 4 mile run was fine through shirlington.
From the intersection with 66 West, there were some patches of melt-water ice and some of snow, though for the most part this meant it was down to 1 lane, but still fine. Lots of sand on the trail and roads.
Glab I've got 38s (semi-slick) and a cross bike, but commute was fun.
