Hartford, CT Area Rides?
I know it's a bit early, but this fall (October) I'll be visiting with my bike and will be looking to do some 25-50 mile rides in the area - any suggestions? I'll be staying in Glastonbury, it would be good to do some rides from there without driving somewhere else to start my ride.

Depends where in Glastonbury, in some parts the roads aren't too "road bike friendly".....either way, a short drive will get you into some good riding areas.

Check with Bicycles East and Pig Iron Sports, both located in Glastonbury. Pig Iron does not have much of a website but they are really into cycling and racing. They might at least be able to provide you with some local routes.
You can definitly find nice riding out your front door in Glastonbury and Manchester areas.

I just did a ride that went through Glastonbury: the Two Ferry metric that started in Rocky Hill, went down to the Hadlyme ferry and then back up and crossed the river on the Glastonbury/Rocky Hill ferry. The route was well marked by spray painted arrows and I have a cue sheet file I can send you id you like.
I found the best part of the ride to the Glastonbury part where it went right along the river just south of the ferry.
Another ride that is well marked and has a map is a club ride that will be held this Sunday:
https://nbwclub.org/maps/nbw069-norwichmetric.pdf
It is a little south of Glastonbury (20-25 miles) but is very scenic.

I just moved to the area, so I don't know of any rides that are nice, but if you find something you want to do and want some company, let me know when you're going to be here and what your plan is. I live in West Hartford, so it would only be about 12 miles for me to ride down to Glastonbury, or you could ride up this way and check out the Farmington Valley Greenway, which I've heard is nice and is 21 miles one way.
