New Steel in New York?

Has anyone actually seen any shops in NYC that have, in stock, any steel road bikes? Something with at least 105 level componentry, I might add.

In theory For example Sid's has Bianchis but no road steel. A bunch of stores have Lemond, and maybe they could order a Sarthe but I don't think I've seen one live and in person.

Oh, I should've specified that celeste gives me a headache. I don't have anything against Bianchis, but I cannot handle that color....

R&A in Brooklyn usually has many nice steel frames which they should be able to build up any way you want. The people that work there can be jerks and the prices can be high (although I've heard of people getting good deals).

I've heard identical reports about R&A that jemoryl stated above and probably wouldn't like dealing with them in a "live" purchase.
I needed a high-quality bicycle shipping box and ordered from them over the telephone. They shipped it halfway across the country quickly since they had it in stock.

Ugh. Sid's, Toga, nothing. Bicycle Renaissance, only the expensive stuff. One shop had a new steel -- well, that is, if you consider an unpurchased 2003 Bianchi Veloce to be "new." I haven't heard anything good about R&A, plus it's kind of out of the way.

I gotta say, It's always fun to hear a shop talk up Campy one minute and then recommend a Shimano-equipped bike without batting an eye...

Ah, take the subway over to Park Slope on a nice sunny day and have a look round R&A - they do have a lot of cool stuff. Then you can go down the street and have a few pints in the garden at The Gate. Now if you want to broaden your search, take a nice excursion out to Lambertville, NJ and drop in at this place: https://www.wheelfineimports.com/ . Steel is around, but it sometimes takes a bit of extra effort to find the gems.
