Looking for a Long Island Bike Commuter

It's a long shot but I'm hoping to find a season LI biker that knows a route from Farmingdale (right off of Route 109) to the Deer Park Business Center (off Long Island Ave, next to Heart land Golf)

Like I said, a long short, but any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Would the Most Direct Route Work?

I know Conklin can get busy and I am not sure of the shoulders, but the Pinelawn part should be quiet, no?

Maybe others can comment on Long Isalnd Avenue as to traffic and road conditions.

Pinelawn is the furthest thing from a quiet rode. I drive it from the Southern State to the LIE, actually just south of it every single day. It is always jam packed with cars.

I am planning to try riding from Long Beach to my office on Pinelawn in Melville in the next week or two. Just need to figure out the logistics and a day that I don't have meetings to worry about.

Just checked a map and the simplest would be Conlin St (24) to where it turns into 3rd Ave then left on Wellwood Ave then right onto Long Island Ave.

Does that work for you?

hmmmmmm

I think we gave the same directions. When I said Pinelawn I really meant where 3rd goes by PINELAWN cemetary.

I wouldn't ride PINELAWN road for anything. As you said, way too busy and no shoulders at all. 110 is much better believe it or not with its wide shoulders.
