Rochester, NY - Tour DeBar
Anyone know if this event is still happening? I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone on the website... I guess I could just show up on Thursday night and see if anyone else is there.

Tude rides it a lot. Look her up and PM her.
I know that a rash of crashes and one near death last year sort of toned-down those rides. Gettin' *****faced and riding bikes in a group sounds like fun, until the ambulances come...
A real nice ride *without alcohol* is the Tuesday Night Urban Assault. The season begins this coming Tuesday, October 2, and runs through to the last Tuesday in March.
We meet at the Adams Street Community Center in Corn Hill (Google map) at 6pm and ride out at 6:15 sharp. This is an all-weather, all-conditions ride, and since it runs after dark (even starts after dark in the winter) lights are recommended.
There is no pre-set route, the ride goes wherever the ride leader feels like at the time. We've gone to Charlotte and Sea Breeze, but generally stick closer to downtown, terrorizing civilians from High Falls to the U of R, from Mt. Hope Cemetery out to Cobbs Hill Park. The ride is generally about two hours and 20-30 miles.
When I rode the Tuna last year, the smallest ride was 18 (in mid-February) and the largest was 69 (in mid-November). It's really, really hard to not have a good time riding with a pack like that.

thanks! I have actually heard about the Tuesday Night Urban Assault, and I have been eagerly awaiting next tuesday. I had emailed Scott a while back and he said that was definitely still happening. But I hadn't been able to find anything out about tour debar. I will keep my ear to the ground about that. and I will see you tuesday night at Tuna
