Bulldog Mini at LBS in NYC?
Does anyone know of any bike shops in New York that sell the Onguard Bulldog Mini? And if so is it available for around $20 like I have seen it advertised online? I am also considering the OnGuard Mastiff Bike Chain with Lock 5022D because it seems comparable to the Kryptonite chain but is available for $20 from bikesomewhere.com. Does anyone have any input on either of these items? I would rather purchase them at an LBS cause I would prefer to have them immediately rather have to wait for shipping, but if they are a lot more expensive in store I will just order them.

I doubt you'll find anything in a NYC LBS comparable to the prices you see online, In fact, you'd probably be lucky to find a blinky in the City for $20.

I just went ahead and ordered it from bikesomewhere. I have heard some bad things about them though so we will see how it goes.

It is true! I went into Toga (granted it is Toga and on the UES) the other day to grab and extra tube and CO2 cartridge and saw the Planetbike blinky behind the counter as one of the dudes took 15 minutes to ring me up and first gave me a 650c tube somehow, all the while I think making fun of my dirty/semi-rusting commuter. What was I talking about again? Oh yeah, they were charging $30 for the thing!

Bicycle Habitat seems to charge $5 above list for small items and $10 or more on more expensive items like tires. Worse part is, you can never count on any of these shops having any particular item in stock. About a month ago I needed a new set of Armadillos and wound up going to five bike shops before I found a pair of 700x25. So unless you absolutely have to have it today you're better off ordering online.

Also re: Bicycle Habitat - if you join Transportation Alternatives you get a $30 discount there on Kryptonite Locks. Unfortunately, they jack their price for the NY chain lock up to $130 to accomodate it...
I find that NYC LBS generally have high prices and you can find most items online for a cheaper price. Once in awhile you do find the odd deal (I got Continental Ultra Gatorskins at R&A for a good price) but mostly not.
