Second Annual Letchworth Leaf-Peeper Ride

Join us on the Monday holiday, October 13, as we ride to Letchworth State Park and back to look at the leaves.

Seventy-four mile route (plus optional extra riding in the park) leaving from Johnson Park in Scottsville, NY (behind Scottsville Union Presbyterian Church). We meet at 8AM, ride out at 8:15.

Here's the route: https://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united...e/428277178218

Up for a century? Meet at 6:45 for a 7AM start from the Memorial Art Gallery, University Ave and Goodman St in Rochester (Goodman St lot).

Self-supported, we stop for lunch in Perry, NY and hit stores along the way.

Last year's pace was 13-15 MPH average, century route riders were back at 5pm.

Sounds like fun. We drove right by Letchworth State Park on our way through New York State this summer on vacation. The biggest thing I miss about living in Texas is the beautiful fall colors up north.

Yeah, we had a blast last year. The leaves hadn't peaked yet, though. They're changing already here in the city, so maybe...

Glad to be able to do this one again! I wouldn't miss this ride unless I've got a broken (you fill in the blank)! I'll be at Johnson Park at 8am.

Join us on Monday!

Looks like we'll have excellent weather for this.

Mostly sunny with light winds from the SSE. Temps rising from an overnight low in the mid to lower 50s, to the upper-60s or lower-70s (depending on who you believe) in the afternoon.

Leaves here in town are just getting interesting. Can't wait to see them in the park.

I wish I lived closer.
We visited the park when my son was attending Genseo University and I've never forgotten how beautiful it was.
Be sure to post some pictures.

Do you ride with a club?

I saw your post about the Letchworth ride and wondered if you ride with the Rochester Bicycling Club or some other local group. Is the Letchworth thing your creation?
