Cheap Energy Nibbles in DC Area?

Given that prices for things like Clif Bars vary so much from retailer to retailer, I was wondering if other people had the inside scoop on where such items can be found cheaply in the DC area...

Thus far, Whole Foods is the cheapest for Clif bars that I've found, at $1.15.
Potomac River Running has boxes of six for $6, but the selection of flavors is very limited.

EMS has Clif gel packets for $1.20, but that's way out in Clarendon.

Other places to get cheap energy bars, gels, drink mix, and the like?

"way out in Clarendon"?

Are you in the District and don't have a car?

Yup.

Anything that's not on the Red Line is 'far'

Performance has 12-packs of Clif bars for $13, and a 15% off coupon (including in-stores) thru Sunday knocks the price down to $11, ($0.92/bar plus tax). That's probably about as cheap as you are going to find. The Rockville store is pretty close to Twinbrook metro. I'd call first to see what they have on hand. I only know their stores in NoVA, I don't think any are on Metro.
