What a wonderful collection of Life on a Bike in DC. I haven't checked in for a while. I love the Stay Extraordinary photo! Keep going!

Thanks, Tulip. I took a short vacation which was extended three days when my return flight got cancelled due to snow. Then I broke my arm snowboarding at Whitetail, so I'm going to be off the streets for a while. Hopefully I'll be back before too long.

Well, this brings me out of my self imposed ban.
What were you thinking? That you are 25 years younger? Which arm (you know, dominant or off-side - I'll bet dominant) and how bad? |
Not my dominant side and not broken too bad, I guess. When it happened there was a noticeable kink in my arm which led me to think at least one bone was snapped in half. ER doctors told me it would probably need surgery but I saw an orthopedist today and he says it probably will heal OK without surgery. There are a bunch of fragments but I can't really see them. It looks pretty good to me. This picture was taken today. It's the radius, the bone on the right here. The white mark on the shaft is an artifact, the damage is on the end near the wrist.

That one almost got away...

Wow, over 300 views of this thread since I got injured, just one expression of concern. What are you looking at? There's nothing to see here. Beat it lurkers.
|
But i enjoy seeing your pictures -- Take care of that arm and get back
to taking them again wpt |
I'll be sure to bring my camera for the Vasa Ride in March to take DC photos. Don't think I'll be in city before then.

I heard a rumor about problems with funding resulting from the financial crisis. http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...h/DSC08668.jpg Video about DC messengers |

. First I need to be able to ride. It might be a while before I'm able to take pictures while riding.
I've missed your posts and can't wait for you to get back in the saddle. |

February 26 -- 45 and sunny. Beautiful day for a ride (once the flippin' wind died down)

Gravelly Point is often on my commuting route to and from Rosslyn. I love racing the jets - but they always seem to win - wonder why. Enjoyed your picture.

Thanks for keeping the thread going. Needs more bumps, as Boston is catching up again.

You've been posting all your stuff in Hybrids and letting this thread languish.
Back to business... I know my audience. Here are two pictures I would not have posted if you weren't watching and if you hadn't just bumped the thread. Thanks.
