End of Summer Long Distance Ride in ME/NH/VT?
Hi All: I live and ride in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Great place to ride. However, opportunities for organized long distance rides are very limited in the area. Last year, I did the one day 284km/175mi. Biking for Breakfast challenge here on PEI. This year, I am looking for another ride to use as a training goal near the end of summer - at least a century but preferably longer.
Am considering going as far as Mass to do the D2R2, but that would be an 11 hour drive (one way) and probably require some investment in equipment to handle the dirt roads.
Does anyone know of any other rides in the ME/NH/VT area in late August or September that might be a good objective? Or any good URL's with lists on events in the area?
Thanks

I've heard this was good: https://newhorizonsbikes.com/articles...2010-pg161.htm
If you're looking for a good challenge, this is it: https://www.northeastcycling.com/six_gaps.html
I did it last year. The scenery was great and the climbs VERY hard! It's not an organized event but there's plenty of rest stops and it's an awesome route. Check bikereg.com, they might list some other rides too...

I have one suggestion, and you could take the ferry and leave the car, the Cadillac Century.
