Visiting Greenport NY
I'll be visiting Greenport NY this weekend. This will be my first time in the area. Does anyone have any tips on routes or roads to stick too?
Thanks

The town of Southold has a map online with bike routes on it. https://southoldtown.northfork.net/An...w%20Trails.pdf
The ride out to Orient Point is nice. If you have the time take the ferry to Shelter Island. There are hills there. :-)

My website includes two popular Greenport rides, one of which takes you out to the ferry at Orient Point and one that takes you across Shelter Island, North Haven Island, into Sag Harbor and on to the Hamptons. Both are great rides, but I strongly recommend the second. Here's a link to the page with both:

The North Fork Century runs through there. Do a search to see if anyone has posted the route or cues; here's one on mapmyride of a 1/2-century loop https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/22409068. If you like a cold brew (me! me!), stop at Greenport Harbor Brewery. Last year, they only sold beer to drink on-premises or to go in growlers, don't know if they have other options now. Expect wind at least around Orient Point.

One of my favorites is the Shelter Island Loop, 24 miles or so.
Take the ferry and once in town keep to your left and ride any road you see. Especially do the out and back to Rams Island as well as exploring the area around Peconic Ave.
You can get a street map from the visitor center to the left as you come off the ferry.
Here's a good loop on MapMyRide - https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/23138522
Note that this is a leisurely ride, kind of hard to hammer this. If you want faster, do Rt 25 and Middle Rd. as well as any roads along the north coast. You can get quite a bit of mileage in out here and traffic is not terrible.
