get involed at your school;
Bike New York runs classes to teach at high schools and get certified. One of our retirer gym teachers hit a couple of GRANTS right and they donated the money. Our state runs a purchase program that we bought helmets for $11.00 each from. We got a STELL cantianer storage locker and made supports and hooks all for around, or less than $3,000.00. If your in with a good shop maybe they could help in a nice purchase price for 25 bikes at one shot and really start a good little following from the schools as Berkshire Bike and Board did in Great Barrington, Mass. Great Comunity project, and if you have kids in school,,great way to see the school from the inside workings. Give Mrs Calligan a call at the school,,,I'm sure she'd love to promote this. We had, a Coack Kate stop in at the school she rode from California back to her hometown in eastern , Mass. to promote heathly living and physical excerise. We have Freshman and Seniors doing the prgram,,,,,it's GRRRREAATT!!!!! The kids,,,,,,,their excerising and don't even know it. Some of them want to stay out , even thru their lunch break..
