Touring route OH to CT
hey, I am riding from San Francisco CA to Fairfield Ct and am currently in Columbus Ohio. I was looking for some advice on the best route from here to CT. Ideally I hoping to avoid going through NYC and other super congested areas unless someone knows a good route. Also I am trying to stay on quiter country roads as much as possible. If anyone had any insights I would love to here them.
Best,
Lucas

Part of the way: If you make your way towards Linesville, PA (a little southwest of Erie) area you can pick up PA Bike Route Y:
https://www.dot.state.pa.us/BIKE/WEB/tour_routes.htm
At the eastern end, take the spur (maps 29A and 29B) to Milford, PA. Ride up river a few miles to Matamoras, PA and cross the river into Pt. Jervis, NY. From there, follow Adevnture Cycling's Atlantic Coast Route through Otisville into New Paltz then cross the river into Poughkeepsie. There is a relatively new ped/bike crossing using the former railroad bridge.

I'd head over to Pittsburgh, where you can connect with a bicycle trail system that heads down from there to Cumberland Gap, and from there all the way to Washington, DC. I'm told you can go from Pittsburgh to DC without riding on a road.
From there, you can cut over to Delaware, take the Lewes-Cape May Ferry up to Cape May, NJ, and then ride up the New Jersey coast, catching a ferry to NYC.
This would add total distance perhaps, but make for a lot of scenic and relatively flat riding.
Tailwinds to ya!
