Oh NO! And you had just bought it so recently! That makes me so sad.
The photo you posted didn't come through, so please post again. Where was it locked, and what was it locked to (and with what?)
If you haven't already done so, make sure you've spoken to the Boston Police and had its serial number listed in the stolen bikes registry. Also make sure you post it in the stolen bikes thread at the top of www.bostonfixed.us . And most important of all, make sure you give its serial number to all of the local bike shops. In my experience, this is the thing that's most likely to get your bike back -- eventually, someone will try to bring it into a shop. I got my Kona back only days after it was stolen when the closest shop called me to tell me someone had brought it in, and then skipped out very quickly when they asked him for his name and address! (I bought the whole shop pizza.)

So sad. It's a beautiful ride. Any really unique-to-you markings on it? Unusual tape/hood color? What's the serial # in case any of us reading this do see it?
Cambridge Bikes was in fact the shop that found my stolen ride.
It had been locked to a signpost in front of my office in Kendall Square. That was the last time I'll ever lock my bike to a signpost, particularly a short one -- the thieves unbolted the sign from the top of the signpost and slid the bike right up and off of it, with the lock still attached! They presumably bent the rear wheel pretty good when they jacked off the U-lock later (which put a dent in the downtube, too), and the guy who brought it in to the shop specifically brought it in to get the rear wheel trued. The shop had asked the guy where he got the bike, and he said his cousin gave it to him, and then they asked him for his address and phone number so they could get the bike back to him "when it was done". The guy wrote something down and then hustled out of there "really fast". They told me they'd called the phone number and it ended up being a Domino's pizza, so they figured the guy realized they were on to him.
