My favorite bike shop is having a swap meet

The Pedaler in El Sobrante is having their swap meet on 10/21. It's a pretty big event for them. I thought I'd put it up here for East Bay folks. Maybe we can meet up there?

10/21 seems doable. I'd have to come after the cyclocross race.

Nice! I've never been up there before but have heard about the store. I'm there! I missed the last one because I had to work, but I must have seen 300 fliers for the thing!

I have it on good authority that many of the people there collect miniature portraits of dead presidents.

Well a bunch of us went to swap meet yesterday. Bossman, bikingshear, blank crows and myself. Lots of people, lots of good stuff, sorry not more of you showed up. BTW Bossman was handing out a lot of those president portraits. Unfortunatlely, I didn't get any.

Great, you're back in the MTB business. I know who to call when I've got MTB questions!

Here's the kind of wallpaper tub you'll be looking for at the smaller hardware stores. Works for fenders and wheels. Fender stays I put into pieces of PVC pipe with caps or plugs glued on.

A good time. Thanks again for the ride, Mike.

There were some good bargains buried in amongst the junk (and believe me, there was plenty of junk), especially in terms of tools. There were also some serious pieces of retro-grouch bike-porn eye-candy, including a Reynolds 753-framed Bob Jackson, a perfectly period-correct 1973 or thereabouts Raleigh Pro (in the ice-blue & gray color scheme), and a 20 or so year old Ron Cooper. A ton o' fun for buyin' and for just lookin'.
