Family rides in Gold Country?
Hi all,
In April a bunch of family is going to rent a house just outside of Jackson. We are considering bringing our bikes and have varying levels of experience. Any nice recreational/family riding spots in the Jackson-Sutter Creek areas? I recall seeing some nice backroads with wineries a few years back, but I wasn't cycling back then so don't have any sense of if it's safe to ride.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The surrounding wine country is very nice, and relatively uncrowded. Roads are narrow with no shoulders though. Anywhere in the foothills is A+++ riding, but may not be the best for young kids. Look for state parks/campgrounds in the area; they'll usually feature a couple miles of uncrowded road and good scenery. I know you'll not be too far from Big Trees SP. Take a ride there with the kids one day; a kinetic wine tour another day.

Thanks, tprevost and humboldt'sroads! I like the sound of Big Trees State Park AND that kinetic wine tour.
