Has anyone done Lake Merced to GGP?

If it's the one I'm thinking of than the Bay Trail is nice! Off of Third off 101 around the Redwood Shores area, right? I actually think it goes all the way down to the airport...

As for Lake Merced to GGP... that's cool. Let me know when you do that Siu and maybe I can get my wife to join us since there isn't any major climbing involved. I am trying to set her up on my old road bike and have convinced her to to do the I Care Classic in May in Morgan Hill with Andy. We'll be doing the mostly flat 25 mile ride. You interested?

If we're starting from ATT park, the embarcadero is basically an unbroken sidewalk all the way to Pier 39.
Having the kids may still not be too much of a hindrance though... I'll have a tow rope with me

I might be able to go. No promises, it depends upon when I can get the days off. I work weekends.... Thank you for telling me about it, though.

Is your wife able to make it to this ride?

Wait, it's AT&T park now? I thought we were meeting at the Ferry building. Not a huge commute from one to the other, but best to keep the confusion to a minimum.

You mean the Great Highway? That'd be cool too! In fact GGP would be great since I think they started doing the Healthy Saturdays again (where they close JFK drive to cars).

I was thinking about the kids....(and cars!). This is just an alternate suggestion because of traffic. I don't want to mess up Pete's planning. Besides, not sure if there's a place to eat on that route.

edit: I'm gonna shut up now. Sorry Pete.

We can just eat at your place.

It's on the 12th (this Sat) and we are "observing" the 20th. 4/20 is supposed to be "smoke funny tobacco day" but since we won't be doing that and acting silly, we are going to act silly on a different day instead by riding our different bikes.

Since it is getting close can we please have a final meeting place and time? I have to make transportation plans.

Funny you should say that Just finally got time to plot it out. I'm going to start a fresh thread on this because everyone has been adding ideas and not sure about the start time/loction and confused with the thread title. We had originally thought about going to the park cross town. As momentum built and kids and beginner riders we're added to the mix, I decided to change the ride a bit. Originally the theme was for a downtown city experience, so let's stick with that. To get to the park would would be through bus, truck, car traffic over a lot of light trolley tracks. That would be a little tough with a big group on wierd bikes, with kids. I'll repost on the thread titled " San Francisco Ride Sat 4/12 Official post"
Pete
