Tuesday Nite Polo Fields

Hey maybe Tuesday can be the regular night for the BF Polo fields rides/Thursday for San Mateo Hills.
would be a nice regular training program to who's ever interested. Chasing down Chris on Tues. and San Mateo gang on thursday...One would gain noticeable improvement in a short amount of time. Polo fields also happen again on Thursday night also.

Dan aka (LanceOldstrong) is coming over from the eastbay Tuesday...anyone else, you can meet at myplace downtown and ride over to the park if you want.

I think I'm going to be able to work out a schedule with my wife's Tues/Thu kickboxing classes.
Her classes don't start till 7:30 so if I drive (sucks I know) up to SF for a 6pm start, I'll be able go for 1:10 or so and still make it back for her to get to class. Worse case, we can put our eldest daughter in charge for 30 minutes until I get back.

Henry, I usually start around 5:30 and Greg and a few others get there early too. This week is probably going to rain Thursday.

I am officially psyched for this!

My bike, lights and kit are sitting in my mini-van out in the office parking lot.
I can't wait to turn key and head into The City after work.

Great night at the Polo fields with a huge turnout...a genuine "Area 51" Focus on Crit riding 9 Lap high intensity, lot's of BF riders tonight too. It was a lot of fun being a big Douch'e and sprinting off the front of the pack and being instantly assimilated! : )
Dan really enjoyed his first night ride ever.

I'll be back...

It was great, you guys ripped my legs off. It was fun to ride with intensity. I hadn't done that in a while. Pete's route back to his place through Pacific Heights was sublime. My legs came back, thank you caffeine, and we were jamming up the hills off the saddle and chatting like a couple of girlfriends.

Fun, fun and fun.

Sorry I couldn't stick around longer and didn't get much opportunity to say hi.
I know PizzaMan, knotty, lanceoldstrong, constantrider, taxi77 and bottlerocket were there as well as Hank from Roaring Mouse. Were the other guys BFers too? (Dude in orange vest and a couple of guys on Cervelos.)

It was good to see you again Blast, and Greg your constantrider right? it was some incredible stuff last night. I hadn't rode with that much intensity since the 1970's, so I need to start again, then, maybe I'll be able to go one more lap..lol

Thanks to everyone who showed up! That was my hardest workout in a long time. We did 4 by 6 mile intervals in under 14:30 each (about 25mph!). The half lap sprints in the middle of the longer intervals are a great race simulation, especially when I have to try and chase you guys down sprinting off the front.

See you guys next time.

Man, I got called out! Hey it's steve (Village Peddler). Is anybody headed out today? It looks like the rain stopped for the rest of the afternoon.

Man, I've been sick as a dog yesterday and today. I can feel the fitness seeping out of me. I'm thinking of pushing it tonight but I don't know if that'll just make things worse (probably would).

I took a pass tonight due to the threat of rain and just did an indoor spin. I plan to be out there next Tuesday night.

are lights required/needed for this ride? (don't know Polo fields very well, I live in Sonoma) it's actually only a 45 minute drive for me to get there so I would love to get some high intensity in.

Lights both front and back are highly recommended for everyone's safety. The Polo Fields have no kind of lighting.
