Maybe a day before spin through Yolo. I do that every year to adjust to the climate 20/30 miles easy.

Wow. There's a NorCal BF contingent indeed!
I'm actually looking forward to this ride. And this year the motel is a lot closer to the start.

Is it time to start planning my getup? What to wear, what to wear....
I'll wait until it's closer to get my nails done though.

After last year...anything that reflects heat! NorCal White and blue is my choice...nails blue racing stripes to match my earings!

This is sooo tempting. I've never done a double and I don't have anything scheduled that day.

I haven't ridden more than 40 miles in a long time. I guess the WCC could be a warm-up for this.

That's exactly my plan. Davis Double depending on how the Wine Country feels.

You can do it. Just break it up into lots of little 40 mile rides in your mind. Fingers crossed that it isnt as hot as last year. Its looking like I might be able to ride but if I do it will be two doubles on consecutive weekends !!! Ouch. Definitely have to ride one of my recumbents

Why don't you just have Britpower just drag (or push) you all over the course (on the DaVinci)? Half the drag, twice the fun.

My body is weak meaning that I have buggered up a muscle (or iliotibial band) near my hip. Despite the fact I can barely walk I am going to try and get through the central coast double on Saturday spinning low gears. If I finish that there is absolutely no way I will be in a fit state to do another double a week later. I probably wont be in any fit state to ride to the shops

The idea to get Britpower to power me round on the DaVinci is appealing though

So just to let ya'll know, I'll be manning the Cobb Mountain rest stop. Pretty much the furthest one out so look for me if you're still lucid.
