Almost last-minute Saturday ride

A few of my teammates and I are planning to do a Lake Loop, leaving from Orchard School in Vacaville at 8:30. We'll ride part of Hwy. 128 featured in the Tour de California, commonly known as "Cardiac Hill." It sounds worse than it is.

The entire ride will be about 60 miles, with 2 places to refill bottles and/or buy food. The pace will be moderate, and no drop.

If you've done the Wild Animals ride (TM LanceOldstrong, et al) or the Morgan Territories ride, you'll find this comparable, possibly even easier.

Send me a PM for more details.

80* and tailwinds...or so they tell me...

What lake? lake Barryisa? And where is the Orchard School? Sorry for so many questions, I'm not in Vacaville much.

Oh, so you're here? That's great!

Orchard School is at the intersection of North Orchard, Vaca Valley Rd. and Farrell Rd. If you're coming from Fairfield take the Cherry Glen exit, take Cherry Glen to Pleasant's Valley, turn right on Pleasant's Valley Rd., take the second right (it might not be marked as Vaca Valley Rd. but it's the 2nd right, with a walnut orchard on the corner). The only other option is to go straight toward Lake Solano. So after you turn, ride to the next stop sign, about a mile, turn right, and you'll see Orchard School on the left, and probably a few folks riding around to warm up. You can park at the school undisturbed.

Do you still have my number? 707 689 7432. See you tomorrow!

We'd be pleased to ride with her, if she's so inclined.

I did let her know, but she didn't want to drive out there and back. With enough notice, we can get a sitter for the kids (need a week or more)....
